Kevin Parker, also known as Tame Impala, is an artist from Perth, Australia. He is best known for his four studio albums, Innerspeaker, Lonerism, Currents, and most recently, The Slow Rush. His first full length album, Innerspeaker, came out in 2010, followed by Lonerism in 2012, Currents in 2015, and The Slow Rush in 2020. Kevin is a multi-instrumentalist. As a child he played the drums, but as he started to play music, he learned to play the guitar, bass, and keyboard. Parker is known for his psychedelic sound that is influenced by many genres such as, R&B, hip hop, house, rock, and most importantly early psychedelic rock from the 60s and 70s. He has worked with many artists, such as Kanye West, Mark Ronson, Travis Scott, Lady Gaga, and The Weeknd.  Kevin saw success and praise for his first two albums, but gained a lot of attention when he released Currents. The combination of psychedelic rock, hip hop influenced beats, and pop elements greatly increased the amount of people that his music appealed to. The Slow Rush doubled down on these concepts and, in turn, also garnered much attention.  His studio albums normally have a specific theme. Innerspeaker focused on Parker’s thoughts during the period when he recorded the album. Lonerism focused on Parker's feelings of loneliness; these themes were also present on Innerspeaker. Currents concentrate on his personal life and relationships. Finally, The Slow Rush addressed the concept of time and how it influences his life and how he deals with it.
